Congratulations Faisal Jeber
DigitalGlobe is pleased to announce that we have accepted your proposal for the 8-Band Challenge. We were hoping to be able to provide you with imagery immediately, but unfortunately we do not have your area of interest covered in our archive. Your area of interest has already been added to our collection schedule, and we are attempting to collect it now.
Due to the nature of satellite imagery acquisition, it could be from a few weeks to a few months for us to provide you with this imagery, which could potentially make it impossible for you to participate in the Geospatial World Forum event in January. We wanted to provide you with an opportunity to conduct your research and submit a paper for judging, so, we have decided to expand the 8-Band Challenge into the second quarter of 2011 by adding a second judging event.
We hope that you will have the opportunity to submit your research paper by December 1st in order to be considered for the awards presentation at Geospatial World Forum in January. However, if you are unable to submit your research in December, there will be a second deadline in early 2011. Only one paper may be submitted as part of the 8-Band Challenge. The final details for this second event will be announced in the near future.
When you receive your imagery, you will be bound by the terms and conditions of the End User License Agreement (EULA) which restricts you to using this imagery for research purposes only. Please make sure that you read and understand the EULA when you receive your imagery.
Sincerely,
Ian Gilbert
