Summary
Instructions provided describe the procedure for installing the MXD Doctor from the ArcGIS Desktop install media kit.


Procedure
After successful installation, MXD Doctor is available by navigating to Start > Programs > ArcGIS > Developer Tools > MXD Doctor.


ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 and 9.3
1. Insert the ArcGIS Desktop installation DVD into the computer DVD-ROM drive.

2. Click the appropriate install link to install the ArcGIS Desktop SDK for the desired developer framework, i.e., ArcGIS Desktop SDK for the Microsoft .NET Framework, ArcGIS Desktop SDK for Visual Basic 6, and/or ArcGIS Desktop SDK for Visual C++. The MXD Doctor is available in all three versions.

Continue through the Installation wizard to install.
ArcGIS Desktop 9.0 and 9.1
1. Insert the ArcGIS Desktop Developer Kit CD into the computer CD-ROM drive.

2. Start Windows Explorer. Browse to the CD-ROM drive and double-click setup.exe.

3. On the first screen, click Next. On the second screen, read the license agreement, click 'I Accept' and click Next.

4. Select installation type; MXD Doctor is included in all three installation-type choices.
